Oscar Gonzalez

Mr. Gonzalez practices all aspects of trade regulation. He is an accomplished writer and speaker in many areas, including ethics in transnational trade, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and general export and customs compliance. Mr. Gonzalez received his B.A. from Columbia University and his J.D. from the University of Michigan School of Law in 1988.
Ruth Rodriguez

Ms. Rodriguez is a founding member and name-principal of GRVR. Ms. Rodriguez’s practice includes international litigation, intellectual property, import and export law, customs law, and international law. She received a B.A. in political science from the University of Texas at Austin, a masters degree in political administration from the Maxwell School of Public Affairs at Syracuse University, and a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School (where she was a Juan Tienda scholar). Ms. Rodriguez has been an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Banking Law and Adjunct Assistant Professor of International Banking Law at Texas Wesleyan University School of Law. Ms. Rodriguez is the chief instructor for the firm’ customs broker exam course.
Michael Erfe

Mr. Erfe received his B.A. from Rice University in Philosophy and Political Science. While at Rice, he was awarded a scholarship to study Mandarin at Beijing University in Beijing, China. After college, he continued his Mandarin studies in the Yunnan Province of China and he studied Spanish in Sevilla, Spain. He later attended The University of Texas School of Law in Austin where he received his J.D. While in law school, Michael attended Bucerius Law School in Hamburg, Germany where he took courses in WTO dispute resolution, EU law, and international commercial law. He is currently working on his LLM in Chinese Law from Tsinghua University in Beijing. Michael has extensive litigation experience, both criminal and civil, having served as a prosecutor in the Tarrant County District Attorney’s office, an associate at a general practice firm, and an attorney with the US Small Business Administration. Michael is conversational in Mandarin and Spanish and is a licensed customs broker.
Vincent Enea

Andrea Ewart

Ms. Ewart’s practice compasses import and export law and international trade regulation and legislation, in particular customs, FDA, and preferential tariff and other programs that regulate imports from Africa, Asia, and Latin America and the Caribbean. She received her B.A. from the Patrice Lumumba People’s Friendship University in Russia, her M.A. in International Studies from the University of Miami, and graduated cum laude with a J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law, which she attended as a Harvey Reid scholar. Ms. Ewart is an adjunct professor of Business Law at the University of Maryland University College and regularly consults and writes on trade issues.

Mr. Maniscalco received his J.D. from George Washington University Law Center and his LLM from American University Washington College of Law. He has worked at the US International Trade Commission, the US Department of Commerce, and the Office of The United States Trade Representative. His experience and practice includes antidumping and countervailing duty, NAFTA, customs and export compliance, and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. Mr. Maniscalco is also a customs broker licensed by The United States Customs and Border Protection.

Licensed to practice law in Mexico, Mr. O’Gorman received is law degree from the Universidad Panamericana and his LLM at the University of Chicago. O'Gorman's experience covers commercial contracting and business law, real estate, finance and corporate law, securities, project finance, reorganizations and restructures, as well as M&A, transformation (desincorporación) and acquisition of agrarian commonly-owned land (ejidos). Mr. O'Gorman lectures on contracts and corporations at the Universidad Panamericana and has written essays on a variety of subjects, including agriculture-land ownership, finance and contracting. He is fluent in Spanish and English.

Brenda Rolon

Ms. Rolon received her Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University in 1979 and her Juris Doctorate from New York University Law School in 1983. Before moving to Texas, Ms. Rolon was legal counsel for the Michigan Senate Judiciary Committee. Ms. Rolon was one of twenty attorneys from the United States selected to be a member of the Joint Venture Program sponsored by Saint Mary's University Law School and the Universidad de Monterrey at Garza, Garcia Nuevo Leon, Mexico. The Joint Program's goal was to advance studies in business transactions between the United States and Mexico by providing an intensive cross-cultural training program with other attorneys from the United States and Mexico.

Mr. Valdespino received a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Massachusetts in Boston, graduating as the "Scholar of the College" in 1982. He received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in 1985. He is a regular lecturer on a variety of subjects, including transnational insolvencies, before trade groups, corporations, and professional organizations. Since 1989, Mr. Valdespino has been a member of American Mensa, Ltd., the International High I.Q. Society.
